Hotel room and apartment access control
Access control is the basis for automation of hotels and apartments in current time. One of its advantages is to facilitate and quicken access to guest rooms while helping the manager manage rooms, room occupancy and energy savings.
Andivi access control is accessible through all types of settings. Andivi access control is most commonly used in connection with
- hotels,
- apartments,
- hostels,
- dormitories,
- homes for the elderly
- cruise ships …

Integrated and classic access control solutions
The integrated access control solution: Smart handle lock with an integrated RFID card reader (card slot).
This is a stand-alone solution where no additional power supply is needed. The pin is powered by the batteries, installed beforehand. The hotel lock system should thus function smoothly even in the event of a power outage.
The classic access control solution: A stand-alone card reader that can be used in combination with an existing traditional lock.
In addition to the card reader, a strike is also installed onto the door frame. It releases whenever a card is read successfully. This allows a guest to enter their room. Additionally, this solution requires an extra power supply for the card reader and the strike.
Access control in conjunction with aesthetics, elegance and freshness.
Electric look designs and models
The six different electric lock models differ only in form, but not functionality. All the models are available in silver or gold. Every model is accompanied by the CE (CE-RED) and EMC certificate. They are also in conformity with the EN 12209:2016 standard regarding fire safety.

A basic and neutral model that can be easily adapted to a larger number of doors. With simple and clear lines – our most popular model.

Its slim and elegant frame is thinner and larger than other models. Minimalism with a touch of modern elegance. A hook with an elegant frame without subtle curves.

A slightly upgraded model, which in its appearance is more robust than the Basic, yet neutral enough to blend in with different door shapes.

This lock features a more natural and softer form. It is suitable for modern architecture and ambience.

A lock with a touch of antiquity. The slight Victorian tone is perfect for buildings with an archaic air about them.

A thinner model with a more robust, yet slim and elegant look. The Fine model is independent in its style of form and therefore suitable for a wide variety of different door models.
What are the components of an electric lock set?
The electric lock set comprises the following:
The front part of the electric lock with a handle, an integrated card reader and a magnetic cover through which the lock can be unlocked with a physical key.

The rear part of the electric lock with a handle, an anti-panic lock and a battery holder.

EURO or ANSI mortice lock with an anti-burglar and anti-lock safety catch.

Each set contains additional material required for the proper installation of the electric lock:
- A classic, physical key for opening locks (2 pieces) – a spare key is needed in case of an emergency.
- An adhesive sheet (for mounting onto the door frame with a safety edge).
- A plastic box to be placed under the sheet.
- Additional small items: screws, pins, etc.

Essential additional equipment:
Contactless card – Mifare type; 13.56 MHz – are programmed to open a specific lock/room. It is recommended to order at least 4 cards for each one lock. The cards are supplied in plain white. If so specified, various motifs can also be printed on their surface according to the customer’s wishes

Contact-less card encoder should be installed on a computer in order to write or delete data on the card. The card decoder functions to either allow or restrict card access to different rooms and/or building sectors.

The software is designed to allow programming without the use of contact-less cards (for Microsoft Windows). It is easy to use and user-friendly. It only takes a few minutes to learn how to program a card.
The lock are powered by AA batteries. Each electric lock requires 4 batteries. It is independent of the building’s main power supply. This means the hotel lock system functions smoothly even in the event of a power outage. Depending on the frequency of use, the batteries should last from 1 to 1.5 years. After that, they should simply be recharged.
Implementation

In order to install the electronic locks, the door must be first prepared and holes properly drilled. Each lock model comes with a specific diagram (pdf, dxf, dwg), enabling the carpenter to precisely prepare the door.
Any type of joinery should be suitable for the job. The complexity of the process is basic. When replacing existing locks with newer ones, carpenters usually suggest the best solution on how to hide the holes of current locks.
It is also required to mount plastic onto the door frame, as it serves as a pin. The adhesive sheet must also be installed. The sheet protrudes slightly out of the door frame, so as not to damage the frame during automatic closing of the door.
In the event a client should require a carpenter’s service, we can provide a list of local joineries, which have already provided such work.
The installation of the front and rear parts of the lock onto the door is fairly simple. Before the parts are fitted entirely, it is only necessary to connect the reader on the front end with the batteries that are located on the mortise lock.
When the lock is installed and mounted, it must be programmed. Every lock has its own unique identity. The following information must be installed in order to program the lock:
- Building identity (e.g. Hotel Park at location X)
- Room identity (e.g. floor number 2. room number 205)
- Date and time – real time (e.g. 10.10.2018, 14.00)
When programmed, the lock is ready for use. It can only be opened with cards that have suitable access.
To program a lock, a specific software must be installed on a computer to which the card programmer (i.e. card encoder) is connect. The program allows the user to create a building with rooms, through which can a card then be programmed by entering the data mentioned above. The memory of individual cards can be erased and reuploaded.
Additional equipment
The access control can be upgraded using a card reader or a presence sensor.
Card holder – Energy saving switches: in hotel rooms and apartments, a card key switch is designed to turn off electrical consumers and put the thermostat into energy-saving mode. A card, programmed specifically for use in a certain room, is placed into the key switch holder when entering the room.
Presence sensor (motion detector) can also be used instead of the card reader. It detects the movements of a guest in the hotel room. Its functionality is similar to that of a card reader. Usually, one sensor is placed in the middle of the room, while the other is installed in the bathroom. In this way, it is always possible to determine whether a guest is in their room or not; thus it is easier to switch between energy-saving mode and higher comfort mode.

Which solution is appropriate?
During construction and deep (door leaf replacement) or basic (upgrading of locks) renovation of rooms, we recommend you use an integrated approach, in which the smart lock, handle, and the card reader are installed as an integrated whole. This solution is elegant and easy to install, while the design is sophisticated and minimalist enough to blend in with the various door shapes.
Should you wish to retain old locks during a room renovation, we recommend you use the traditional solution, in which the card reader, power adapter and strike are installed separately.
